Romance of the Three Kingdoms

In the year of AD184, a rebellion known as the Yellow Turban Rebellion broke out in Jilin country. Led by ZhangJiao, ZhangLiang and ZhangBao, the rebellion spread to other provinces destroying palace buildings and imperial forts. The goverment troops were beaten and the news reached the Han emperor who ordered the district governors to recruit troops to put down the rebellon.
One day, outside of a busy market, people from all over the city came to read the enlisting board to enlist into the army to stop the rebels. A man with fair skin walk by, he wore very plain clothes and has a wooden hat with him. his name was LiuBei, great grandson of Prince Jing. The imperial strives forced him to become a straw hat maker. While reading the board, LiuBei signed. Suddenly, a man with dark skin shouted, his voice sounding like thunder, "Heroes serve their country patriotly, what's the use of signing, coward!" LiuBei replied," My name is LiuBei, nicknamed XuanDe, I wanted to serve my country to get rid of the villians but I don't have the money to recruit troops." The man with dark skin replied, "My name is ZhangFei, nicknamed YiDe, I am wealthy and since we have the same goal why don't we join together." LiuBei agreed and ZhangFei took LiuBei to an inn to have some wine. While chatting and drinking at the inn, a man with ruddy complexion walked in and said, "Give me some wine, I am going to enlist." LiuBei asked the man if he wanted to join both of them and he agreed. ZhangFei than asked, "Who are you and where did you come from?" The man replied,"My name is GuanYu, nicknamed YunChang." ZhangFei asked again, "Why did you come so far just to enlist?" GuanYu replied,"Ever since I killed a villian in my hometown, the magistrate wanted to arrest me, when I heard of the recruitment, I escaped and came here to enlist." After drinking and chatting for a while, LiuBei said, "We all have the same goal, why don't we become sworn brothers sharing our might and power together." All of them agreed and went to ZhangFei's house to say the pledge. From now on, LiuBei, GuanYu and ZhangFei became sworn brothers and never broke up. After recruiting 5oo troops, they went to serve under LiuYu. The Yellow Turbans attacked YouZhou the three brothers set out with their troops. DengMao challenged the brothers to fight but was killed by ZhangFei. The brothers charged into the rebels and won their first battle. The rebels attacked QingZhou, The three brothers again set out with their troops. ChenYuanzhi challenged the brothers but was slained by GuanYu after two rounds of fighting. The brothers advanced along Maoca Pass to attack ZhangJiao at WanCheng and met CaoCao, SunJian, HeJin, DongZhuo and HanFu on the way. The battle at WanChang was fought closely, the allies beat the rebels by forming five large collums and into the rebel lines creating confusion to th rebels. things were not going well for DongZhuo, he lost more than half of his elite troops and was wounded in the left arm by ZhangJiao's arrow. He almost lost his life but LiSu, ZhangFei, LiuBei and GuanYu saved him. Shortly after the battle, DongZhuo was beaten by the rebels at Xiliang and withdrew to XiangYang. LiuBei, GuanYu and ZhangFei again defeated the rebels on a mountain slope neraby WanCheng. The rebellion was put down and LiuBei was appointed as magistrate of AnDing. One day, the district inspector came to inspect LiuBei. He invited LiuBei to the courthouse for interview. He asked LiuBei what was his background and how did he become magistrate. LiuBei replied,"I am great grandson of Prince Jing and was appointed as magistrate for putting down the rebellion. The inspector scolded LiuBei back, "YOU LIAR, YOU ALWAYS BRIBE OTHER OFFICIALS, IMPOSER OF THE HAN COURT, GET OUT!" LiuBei returned to his house and told his brother what had happened. ZhangFei then said, "That villian deserves a beating!" LiuBei told ZhangFei to control his temper but ZhangFei replied,"I am going to ride around the city." After drinking a cup of wine, ZhangFei left. While ZhangFei was riding around the city, he saw some people gathering around outside the courthouse. ZhangFei ask one of the people there and the man replied,"We came here to bid the inspector not to accuse LiuBei of bribing but he denied and beat us up." ZhangFei was so angry that he stormed into the courthouse and dragged the inspector out. He tied the inspector onto a pole and started to whip him. LiuBei and GuanYu arrived in time and stopped the beating. LiuBei then took the official seal out and resigned his post. The brothers than sought protection under LiuYu. The three brothers soon defeated the remnants of the Yellow Turbans. LiuBei was later appointed magistrate of PingYuan where he recruit his troops and bid his time.
Soon after the rebellion was put down, Emperor Ling died and his son, Emperor Bian took over the throne. But the new emperor soon died and the throne was taken by Emperor Xian. The young emperor was weak and depended on his mother who depended on the eunuchs. The eunuchs were ambitious and ten eunuchs decided to control the imperial affairs using the emperor's mother as a guide. HeJin together with CaoCao, YuanShao and HanFu decided to get rid of the ten eunuchs. But there's a problem, the emperor's mother supported the eunuchs who took care of her and the emperor. HeJin went to the palace to warn the emperor's mother for several times but failed. Things became worse when the eunuchs forced the empress to poison her own mother. HeJin decided to attack the palace to get brid of them. CaoCao and YuanShao went with him. The gate palace gate opened and the eunuchs only allowed HeJin to enter. While HeJin was walking towards the palace. The ten eunuchs sneaked from behind and stabbed Hejin. The eunuchs then threw his head down. CaoCao and YuanShao looked at the head and knew it was HeJin. They and their troops charged into the palace and killed the eunuchs. One eunuch survived the attack and grapped the young emperor and prince with him to flee leaving the sad empress behind. Seeing that the emperor and prince was gone, CaoCao sent his troops to find them. The emperor and prince were soon found and were taken back to the palace in DongZhuo's carraige.
Never forgeting the insult, DongZhuo got LiRu to discuss what to do. LiRu then reminded DongZhuo, "Remove the old to add in the new." DongZhuo then guessed, "Do you mean getting control of LuoYang, giving up our hometown in XiLiang. LiRu replied, "Yes." DongZhuo then led his troops to sack LuoYang masscreing the civillians. DingYuan and WangYun were so annoyed of DongZhuo's actions that they decided to start a punitive war on DongZhuo. DingYuan, with the help of his foster son, LuBu, defeated an even larger army of Dongzhuo's at the city gate of LuoYang. DongZhuo went back to his camp feeling very depress. LiSu came in and said, "I have a plan to make LuBu serve you." DongZhuo replied, "Heavens, how will you do that." LiSu replied, "LuBu is not very loyal, when he sees gifts, he will do anything the person says, but you need to give up your Redhare and give him some jewels to make him join you." DongZhuo asked, "Why the Redhare?" LiSu replied, "A general's favorite things are weapons, second, armor and third, armor, LuBu has a weapon that is better than normal, his armor is better than normal, but his horse is a normal steed, if he has the three favorite things, he will be one of the few generals in history to have the three strong points and will be very happy." DongZhuo agreed. The next day, after giving LuBu the Redhare, LiSu visited LuBu. LuBu was delighted to see his old friend and prepared a banquet with wine and food to welcome LiSu. While drinking wine LiSu asked, "Why did you serve under DingYuan?" LuBu replied, "I have no other choice." LiSu replied, "Why not choose a better master to serve." LuBu asked, "Who do you have in mind." LiSu replied, "There are no other than DongZhuo!" LuBu replied with a shock, "DONGZHUO THAT.......... traitor!" LiSu replied, "You cannot see what's behind things, the emperor is simple minded and careless while the prince is smart and dilligent, DongZhuo dares to depose the emperor not affraid of being accused while the other officials are scared, his the only one who dares to stand out among the officials!" LuBu replied, "Your words enlighted me." LiSu said again, "DongZhuo's the one who gave you the jewels and the redhare and you are his idol." LuBu replied, "But I am afraid I cannot serve him." LiSu replied, "Kill DingYuan." LuBu then went into Dingyuan's tent and killed DingYuan with his sword. The nxt day, LuBu went to DongZhuo's tent and delivered DingYuan's head. DongZhuo was so happy that he bowed to LuBu. Dongzhuo then took LuBu as his foster son and appoint him as cavalry commander. After a few days, DongZhuo seized the capital and deposed the emperor and made the prince as emperor. DongZhuo forced the new emperor to appoint him as prime minister. The fight against DongZhuo thus started.
One day, WangYun held a banquet for the officials saying that it was his birthday. In the middle of the banquet, WangYun cried and said, "Actually it's not my birthday today, I've come here to discuss with you all how to get rid of DongZhuo. After saying these words, the officials began crying only CaoCao laughed. CaoCao said, "Can you all get rid of DongZhuo just by crying, hahahahaha!" WangYun replied, "Since you are so arrogant, do you have a plan of getting rid of DongZhuo." CaoCao thought for a while and said, "I could assasinate him, but I need to borrow your jewel knife since its quick and sharp." WangYun asked, "How will you do that?" CaoCao replied, "I will assasinate him when he treats me as a friend." CaoCao borrowed the precious knife from WangYun and went to Dongzhuo's residance the next day. LuBu was also there guarding DongZhuo, so it's difficult to kill him. DongZhuo asked CaoCao, "Why are you late?" CaoCao replied, "My horse is too slow." DongZhuo then told LuBu to pick a few good horses for CaoCao to ride. DongZhuo became tired and decided to rest. CaoCao grabbed the the chance and drew the knife. DongZhuo saw what was CaoCao doing and turned around. CaoCao had to pretend to give the knife to DongZhuo. LuBu came just in time. CaoCao quickly
